The American Music Legacy Project is a multimedia project encompassing live and recorded performances, behind the scenes interviews, candid photos documenting America’s iconic troubadours, and their circle of colorful compadres from the road. This project will capture the musicology and ethos behind decades of songwriting, recording, and touring while exploring the facets of multi-genre performances featuring a cast of life long collaborators
As time goes by, we want to commemorate dozens of iconic music artists whose legacy demands to be preserved, capturing their contributions and the oral history within the lexicon of American music.
Beyond the importance of preservation, the loss of other music giants has shed light on the fierce reality that many talented musicians have left us longing for a robust digital legacy. We believe as a whole, people are more in tune with the importance of projects such as this, and contributors may have time and resources to invest in this collective effort.
